Random update --

I know I mentioned that I would be studying abroad in England, right? Well here I am! In England! It's only been one semester so far, but I AM here for the academic year (be back home in early June). Just letting you guys know, because sometimes plans fall through (like my original intention of studying abroad in Japan for a semester, which I don't regret dropping) but this one didn't. =)

Eh, what else? In England. Manchester, specifically, though I visit London quite frequently and am pretty familiar with that city. <3 Oh, I did get my license this summer, by the way. It was kinda a big deal for me. I'm so lame. Also, I'm currently looking for internships in investigations, and so far the ones I'm going to apply to are in Washington and/or London. Wish me luck, because everything's so competitive, it's tiring! Ahh...I'll be traveling quite a bit! I'll be hitting up Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, and Kerry (in Ireland) before my time over here in England ends. And then if I CAN (because internships usually take up the whole summer and I might not have the time to do more traveling before my senior year at Amherst begins) I will go to Italy with my sister. Pretty cool.

Um, what else? Travel is pretty much all that's been occupying my time currently, what with this study abroad. Well, travel, and of course the class work. I still want to get my degree in Psychology, that has not changed; but I don't want to be a therapist or anything -- I want to get into investigations. Yeah. But that's not new. =\

Anything else? I don't think so. Everything's still good. Christmas is on its way, and all I have to do before the holidays is finish these two papers (ughhhh)....

I figure that it's only right that I right a post today. I mean, it IS my birthday, and I AM now 20 years old. So bizarre. I've been listening to "19sai" by Suga Shikao as a sort of fare-well to my teen years. Maaan.

Life? It's pretty good for me. My hair is chin-length now, and layered up with long bangs, cuz I'm adjusting styles. My nails are growing (*shock!*) so I've been able to get manicures. I have a driver's PERMIT (not yet a licence, haha, but it's a good start). College life? Busy busy busy. Totally worth it, I know. And if I get accepted by some colleges abroad, then I'll be going to study abroad in England for a whole year (next year, junior year). Yep! A whole year! England!! I'm a little scared but also really excited~! But, we'll see if I get in. ^^

I'm into fencing now (I fence with a sabre!) and have met awesome people doing that. I have two little jobs on campus, so I can make some money every now and again for myself.

Annnnd....I'm still in anime and v-games (although, I don't have a lot of time for games as I used to, but I still like it). I'm currently into One Piece (of course! still rocking the earrings) and xxxHOLiC (Doumeki's seiyuu is Kazuya Nakai!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT). As for v-games, I sure would like to go back and replay the Silent Hill games (numbers 1 and 4) and even play a Tomb Raider game. And Metroid Prime 2!! Man.

So there you have it. I haven't fallen off the planet.

Well this xanga is pretty much...no, I don't wanna say "dead." That's too mean. But it IS very...er..

But I'm alive. I'm well. I'm a sophomore in college, I'm taking fencing, I'm weight lifting, I'm a psych major who wants to get into the FBI. My familly moved from NYC to Jersey (*scream!*) but we've adjusted and now we love the area. I've lost a little weight. I miss my high school friends, but I do like college a whole lot. I'm continuing to take Japanese because I want to study abroad a semester. All is well, all is well.

And yet it's sad that I feel the need to reintroduce myself here, but what can I say? *cough*livejournal*cough*

But yes. I am alive.

OH and also, here's just to wish my sister a HUUUUGE "GOOD LUCK" on her important test coming up tomorrow. <3

Well, I guess this is where I say....I'm going to Japan again! This year! June 27! With Fen, finally! I mean, I still have to make arrangements and such (cuz, for me, it was recently just decided and I need to get the plane ticket and stuff), but yay!

Also, life in the new house is going great. <3 That is all! :D

Two or three more weeks, and then summer. Summaahh.

But...first comes the workload. Papers, exams. I already took my final for my Memory course, but I still have a research paper to write. For my Social Psych course, I have yet to take the final and write the research paper. For Greek Myth...I need to catch up on the readings, and write a brief paper by Monday. For my Acting Technique course, I have an actor's journal and paper to write after I finish the last scene with my partner (during the week of finals). Soo...papers everywhere.

I have a feeling that college will go by pretty fast. Freshman year is already pretty much done. I just hope I can accomplish more in sophomore year than I did this year -- I feel like I was particularly lazy this time around, in terms of community service stuff and just activities in general. I'm sure sophomore year will get me into gear.

Today.

I got up at 5AM, got the 6:20AM bus to go to Port Authority (and remember, my family lives in Jersey now...), arrived at P.A. at around 7:05AM, purchased my bus ticket to Amherst, waited until 8:15 to board....

AND WTF IS UP WITH PORT AUTHORITY "CHANGING SCHEDULES" EVERY THREE MONTHS? HOW COME I'VE NEVER HEARD OF THIS? WHYYYYY DO I HAVE TO TRANSFER TWO TIMES INSTEAD OF ONE TIME TO GET TO AMHERST??? THAT'S MORE OF A HASSLE, AIN'T IT?? I DON'T EVEN LIKE THE FIRST TRANSFER!

So, I had to transfer at a stop in Connecticut, then transfer *again* at Springfield (and with a half hour layover, to boot), and then I get to Amherst at, oh.... 1:30PM.

I'm tired. I'm really tired. I've done this transit a great many times, but today it felt like I went to the airport instead of Port Authority and took a plane to get to college instead of a bus. =\ Not fun.

In the end, I like doing all of this on my own. The freedom of travelling alone, though there are nuisances (this time was not like my trip going home last Thursday, though....soooo many horribly irritating people on the bus on Thursday, playing with their useless walkie-talkie cellphones and whatnot), isn't too bad. And it's fun.

But not when I come back to a place where I have more work to do. =\

This summer, I'm getting my licence.

On the bright side, I have about a month left of my first year of college. That's good. I don't like having the title of a "freshman". Plus, [hopefully] I take abnormal psych next year. That'll be awesome. <3

Just tried to write an entry in Japanese, but stupid xanga won't have it. So I've come to the conclusion that xanga is a ho-bag. Kiss my ass, xanga.

I'll rewrite the little bit that I can remember, but I'll have to use Romaji. =(

I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL NEXT WEEK....

cuz, like...I'll be taking a weekend "break" and go back home. These last two weeks that I've been back have been a pain in my ass. ASS, I tell you! And I have a 8-10 page psych paper due tomorrow...which is why I'm still awake...

I have a feeling that I won't be going to bed tonight, so I'm going to get dressed now and drink a loooot of water. It's not caffeine, but the cold water in my mouth will help keep me awake somewhat.

No more work, Amherst! Eghh, it's just that I'm taking two psych courses at the same time, and they both want papers that require researching journal articles...and it all feels so very deja-vu to me, because I just did a psych paper (for my other class, Memory) just recently. Only that one was 4-6 pages. THIS shit is 8-10.

Well. Enough. I'm going to get dressed now and GET THIS SHIT DONE ASAP. I'm not gonna be able to take a nap tomorrow, cuz like, I have rehearsal for my Acting Technique class from 2-5, and then I gotta go to CVS and buy some stuff. Oh, and I gotta schedule an appointment with my advisor so we could discuss pre-registration for next year's courses.

ABNORMAL PSYCH = NEXT YEAR!!! <3 This is soooo my field in Psych, or atleast this is my intended focus. <3 <3 WOOOOT~~!! And there's this VAMPIRE/WITCH/MONSTER course that I'M definitely gunning for. <3 Next year will be spectacular.

...except for the required psych statistics course that is required for my major. Blehhhhhh, math stuff. BUT it's all good. Abnormal Psych for teh win!!

Okay. Now is work time. I'll probably sleep all Saturday...no, wait, I have some work to do this weekend. ;______; Next weekend, I want you now!
